From his early days with Cape Breton’s legendary Rankin Family to his acclaimed solo career, Rankin’s songs have become the soundtrack of Atlantic Canada. Tracks like You Feel The Same Way Too, Fare Thee Well Love, and Followed Her Around are timeless anthems, woven into the very fabric of Nova Scotian culture. In 2020, his iconic song with The Rankin Family, Fare Thee Well Love was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, cementing his place as a true icon of Canadian music. In 2013, CBC listeners voted it #1 East Coast song of all time.
