FUNNY AS PUCK
On Saturday June 21st, Vancouver-based comedian Brian Patafie will be returning to Moncton’s Empress Theatre bringing his FUNNY AS PUCK Tour 2025 Edition to the Robinson Street venue.
Just over three years ago Brian finished a 44-year career as an athletic trainer in professional hockey including almost 20 years with the Calgary Flames. He also spent three years here in the Hub City with the AHL’s Moncton Golden Flames back in the mid 1980’s. Brian kept notes and following his hockey career he turned those notes into a standup comedy routine and has shared not only his hockey stories but his dysfunctional life stories all across North America as well as on a multi city, multi show tour of the United Kingdom back in October of 2022. Brian was asked by Sportsnets Ken Reid on why he left the Flames back in 1999 and Brian’s trademark reply was « medical reasons… management got sick of me!”
Brian will be joined by hilarious Ottawa comedians Chris Connolly and Chad Noonan. Don’t miss the opportunity to see one of the most charismatic and entertaining figures from the world of professional hockey share his life on stage.
