Laura Rae is a Nostalgic Folk artist who dances between genres, influenced equally by Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow. Her songs are about growing up, grief, love, family… they are about life. As she does not live in one specific genre, she doesn’t live in one language either. She writes songs in French and in English, sometimes she translates her English songs to French. She was nominated for Music Nova Scotia’s New Artist Recording of the Year 2022 and took home bronze for The Coast’s Best Folk Artist Halifax.
