Bad Words for a Good Cause
Bad Words for a Good Cause is hitting the road June 22nd. The sensational comedy for charity shows have been popular in Saint John and Hampton and now it’s Moncton’s turn to get laughing and give back.
There are not many names bigger in New Brunswick stand-up comedy than Michelle Lynn Petite. The nasty nana of comedy, and the biggest supporter of both New Brunswick comedians and venues, she can bring the house down with her hilarious material. She’s opened for legends such as Lisa Baker, Mike Wilmot and Kenny Robinson, and now she’s ready to tear up the stage in Moncton.
Opening up for Michelle will be Moncton’s own John Skov Nielsen and Jeff Pinnell, and will be co-hosted by Cive Lucas and Katelin Dean. Plus, there will be exciting special guests announced along the way!
John Skov Nielsen, affectionately known as Skov, was raised on the fiery plains of the Kennebecasis Valley. He began his comedy career seven years ago in Saint John, then has since performed in Halifax, Niagara Falls, British Columbia and Austin, Texas. He’s opened for heavy hitters such as Jason Rouse, Mike Wilmot, Kenny Versus Spenney and the Danger Cats. He currently runs an open mic in Salisbury, and is co-host of the Inferno Show in Moncton, along with a weekly open mic at The L’Nuk Lounge in downtown Moncton.
Fresh to the comedy scene, Jeff Pinnell’s act makes you want to see him again and again. His ability to bend words and phrases into comedy gold is second to none. He had an amazing debut set at Punchlines Comedy Club in Saint John earlier this year.
Cive Lucas, founder of NB7 productions, has taken his lifelong obsession with stand-up comedy and turned it into a platform for maritime comedians to show people how good we are at comedy and help local charity and local business.
Co-host Katelin Dean has been doing comedy for a year but has been killing it like a seasoned veteran. She not only does comedy but hosts trivia, performs in several bands, and still commutes to Fredericton to work every day.
These performers and some special guests will perform at Flying Boats Brewing June 22 in support of Youth Impact. Tickets are $20. If you enter promocode ontheroad you save 30% and Youth Impact still gets a full donation.
